Today Los Angeles based events collective Future Primitive announced its full Summer Series programming, bringing some of the world’s most noteworthy house and techno selectors to iconic outdoor locations in Downtown Los Angeles. Incredible DJs and settings, paired with FP’s meticulous and transformative production aesthetics, have made its parties some of the most singular and coveted in LA.
This season will be no different as the independent promoter welcomes back old friends and new for another summer season in LA.
Opening the season on May 6th is Guy Gerber’s legendary party series, Rumors, returning to Gin Ling Way for another epic summer block party. First launched in Ibiza in 2014, Rumors has been integral in spreading the bohemian spirit of the white isle across the globe and, with Future Primitive, establishing Chinatown’s historic square as an LA party venue. Since debuting in 2016, it’s become the essential kick-off to the summer season and one of LA’s most beloved parties.
On May 20th, Future Primitive hosts All Day I Dream’s signature day into night affair at Pershing Square. Led by global house music icon Lee Burridge, All Day I Dream is renowned for its wanderlust aesthetic, enchanting sonic curation, and globally eclectic crowd. Burridge has a deep connection with California and LA, earning him a beloved and beautifully eclectic fanbase.
After 6 years, Jaime Jones’ beloved Paradise In The Park expands to two days in the beating heart of LA, Pershing Square. Future Primitive and Jones created Paradise In the Park together and will be going all out, bringing in bespoke production and lighting to create something truly memorable for Los Angeles. Jones’ globally renowned Paradise series first debuted in 2012 at the legendary DC-10 in Ibiza and has remained an essential proponent of the Balareic beat over the last decade.
Rounding out the Summer Series is the LA debut of Astra Club, a collaborative project between Turkish-Italian DJ and rising music icon Carlita and Life and Death boss DJ Tennis, that continues Future Primitive’s annual tradition of hosting DJ Tennis +1. Tennis remains one of dance music’s most renowned selectors, and the Astra Club set, will follow his pairings with Dixon, Gerd Janson and Acid Pauli.
