Jean Pierre & Trangaz AKA Mutant People to release Vol. 1 album in the first week of August
Following his hugely successful Bandcamp album release ‘001’, born and bred New Yorker Jean Pierre is back with more essential club tracks, this time in collaboration with Trangaz under their moniker ‘Mutant People’.
Together this pair have released music on industry leading imprints such as Desolat, Avotre, and Celesta. Originally produced in his old studio back in NYC, Jean Pierre retouched the collection this year in his new Miami homebase and the collection has already been supported by The Martinez Brothers and Jamie Jones to name a few. This grouping is the latest in a long line of successful releases that date back more than 15 years for this house master.
The opener ‘Paravilla’ is a driving tech house tune with bulky drums and hammering hits. ‘Prodigal’ gets more minimal and stripped back, with icy hi hats and booming analogue drums making you move. ‘Most of the Time’ is a loose limbed and energetic cut with a tech-funk vibe in the bassline and party feels in the vocals. ‘Gourmet Soul’ is a hyper speed cut with racing beats and gliding hi hats that gets you in a real state of acid techno hypnosis. Last but definitely not least, ‘Society Appeal’ is a bubbling, minimal house cut with real depth and late night tendencies.
These are hugely expressive and original tracks once more from these vital artists. Stay tuned for future releases from this pair under the Mutant People moniker in the coming months.
